Octet Rule, Bohr Diagram, and the Lewis Dot Diagram

Octet Rule- The Octet Rule is a scientific rule that states that atoms will tend to combine in a certain way so that they will have eight electrons on the outer most shell. Some elements that are good examples of the octet rule are carbon,nitrogen,oxygen,and halogens.

  1. I do not see how these elements which you listed are a good example of the octet rule. I think this requires further explanation. Also, I think that you skipped the Bohr Diagrams, and you did not post an image that you created for each topic.
